May I have comments from the users of this storage device? It seems to be a very fast drive. And its battery lasts long too. If it is connected to a computer as an external hard drive, does it need a transformer, or take power via an USB? I'm tempted to buy one, and I think it's a better bargain over Nachus PDP.

I just bought Magic-pro DC Partner with Hitachi 30G 4200 rpm yesterday

I have tested the speed performance as follows:-

Transfer 975 mb (MP3) from Transcend 1GB 30x CF to DC Partner,
total time less than 7 minutes.

if DC Partner is connected to PC via USB, it is no need to connect with transformer (Actually, DC partner cant connect with USB and transformer at the same time). Your PC will provide power to DC partner via USB.

FYI, below please find a link of forum from other website, some ppl have tested the performance of DC partner.

Thanks a lot. People in the forum said DC Partner doesn't support hard drives >30GB. If it's due to the FAT32 format and partition is properly done, can it support hard drives with 40GB or more?

More. Nachus PDPII is smaller but the hard drive cannot be removed. Is this device better or worse than DC Partner?

I have shopped around 高登 and 旺電 before I bought DC partner, some shop's salesman said u can request a higher capacity of harddisk, say 50GB or 60GB, for Nachus PDPII. But I'm sure that it is still under warranty cover if u change a larger capacity of harddisk.

Below pls find another forum from the same website who comment on Nachus PDPII. They said Nachus & Qcool are the same but Qcool can change harddisk if necessary.

kcms001, your referral is very useful. It seems that there is a problem in data transfer from the computer to Nachus. Any users who have had this problem in other digital wallets? Does DC Partner have this problem?

Dear genewch

I bought one and got no problem on it. I used my notebook harddisk
of 40 G fomatted in fat 32. It seems very quick of date transfer from
card to Maric-pro.
I have tried on 2 G Hitachi MD with 2.3 M/second
and 1 G Ultra II with 2.5 M/second tranferring and no halt for
20 G copying. After this the default battery also left half.
I think the weak point is just a plastic shell and feel it a low end product.
