I'm not sure if you are referring to Graduated ND filter...

I use cokin and it is good.
Graduated ND filter is very useful in taking sunset landscapes... Just to remind that NEVER try to buy with ND less than 3 steps, it is not useful at all

You may go to my album in dcfever for the sunset scenes for reference. I use Graduated ND filter for almost all of them.
