Parallel Import (水貨)....Not recommended, at least not for DSLR.

Nevertheless, I bought my two Panasonic DCs in parallel import (European version), and so far they are okay. But the main reason is that they are cheaper than the the original dealer stock by nearly 1/3 ($2500 vs $3600).

But the difference in price ($400 at most, I guess) for parallel import and dealer stock for Canon isn't that much to justify the risk.
