Facebook is a good place to share photos with some privacy control, but the photo size just too small.
How do you share many large photos with privacy control?

"host it yourself" to me means:

- register own domain
- find a hosting provider such as 1and1.com
- download wordpress as the blogging engine
- use fotoplayer to manager photo albums with optional password protection

Just found that facebook can upload high resolution photos in 2048x2048
so far I can see that in could be downloaded in high res but not view in high res
