本身用緊kit 18-55既..我預5000$樓下
我平時都係室內影貓..同埋一班朋友影下合照咁
偶然都會影下風景相
我已有支定焦 50mm 1.8

我自已就諗緊依3支....但唔知各位ching有冇更好既推介俾我呢?? thx^^

Hard to say 1st hand or 2nd hand better ...

Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM is really good, you can check out the comments from other users. I got it about 1 week for around $4800, the photos are really sharp. I use it on my 7D and the focusing is quite fast and silent. F2.8 is really helpful in low light situations and this lens is already very sharp wide open so I highly recommend it to you. Believe me, super zoom lenses cannot give the same quality as a standard zoom.

Oh I thought you want to replace the kit lens with another standard lens... If you actually want to keep the kit lens then definitely sigma 17-50 is not for you. May be you should consider a 2nd hand SSW (~$4000)? Then you will have lenses that cover 17-55 and 70-200 which is good for most situations...

But in normal case ... EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 already good enough la ...

Can Take Care NORMAL Group photo, most important .. when using EF lens on 550D, cannot find any DISTORT or 黑角 ...

As I say ... for $2xxx what can you say ...

我個人覺得如果唔係replace kit, 咁EF-s 55-250都幾啱你, 只係1700左右, 就有合理既長炮, 最重要係budget夠平

如果買28-135, 不如sell kit, 買EF-s 15-85, 好用好多, PQ又好

70-200 F/4 nonIS係好, 但係CHing較新手, 怕冇IS唔識handle

17-40 F/4, 冇閃既話新手晚上都有o的難用

結論, 我個人會選擇sell kit, 買EF-s 15-85

In order to know whether u need IS or not, it is simple,
U can turn off ur IS in ur kit n u can try to use it... If u can still use it with no problem with ur kit even IS is off, then u can go for 17-40 L, otherwise 15-85 is ur good choice...

28-135 is good n sharp, but 15-85 should be better in terms of PQ n coloring
