I want to buy this lens to go with my 550D. Anyone using the same combination? Is the lens too big for 550D? Is HK$9600 already the best deal ? Thanks

yes brand new. I checked another shop which sells at HK10,600. I am suprised that the price difference is so huge.

Also i am sometimes a bit worried about buying lenes at camera shops, as I don't know if it's totally brand new. Last time I bought mine at broadway (at discounts). I guess it's still safe to buy from camera shop. The shop which sells at 9600 is a shop in central, stanley street, so i guess trustworthy???

i use 550D with 70-200 F4L IS
i dont think it is too large for 550D....because SSWIS is not that large indeed....
although i dont bring it out always, it gives me surprises whenever i use it~

If it is a genuine brand new canon lens, you should be able to register your warranty on line with Canon.

@paperskin- Do you use it with battery grip?

@mykkee, chengTC - I didnt think it will be a 2nd hand. just that i am not sure if someone (maybe the people in the shop) has used it (maybe just a few times) and then the shop repack it and sell as a brand new one?? but I guess they won't do that gwa...
sorry i checked the price at a few shops and most of them are selling SSWIS at a higher price (all over 10K...so this shop is just a bit too good to believe...  maybe i worry too much :)

Perhaps you can go to Shingshing. I remember its price, in last week, was less than $10k.

It is always suggested that the famous chain electrical appliance stores are trust worthy. You may consider this. But I am always scared by the attitude of the salespersons.
