請問各位師兄,小弟一路攪唔清macro鏡頭的特性. 例如Canon 100mm marco. 呢支鏡註明是marco鏡,而我用緊支18-55mm 鏡頭都有mark佐:mcaro 0.25m/0.8ft字樣. 請問師兄們佢兩種分別.?

This is all I know. Each lens has a minimum focusing distance. Proper focusing cannot be acheived if the the distance between the lens and the subject is shorter than the minimum focusing distance. Macro lens usually has shorter minimum focusing distance than non-macro lens. That means you can get closer to the subject and will get larger image. Different minimum focusing distance and different focal length give different magnification effect.

with a broad definition, any lens that can produce up to 1:4 can be regard as macro.

But different lens brands have only add "macro" (or "micro" in Nikon) in the name of the lens if
1. it can produce 1:2 or 1:1 in FF format
2. it has a FLAT field of image circle, which is essential for reproduction of flat objects such as paper
3. it has very high MFT characteristics, e.g. very high sharpness & contrast
