想買支短鏡用，影人影景
考慮以下，請協助，
17-55mm 2.8 is usm
24-105mm L is usm

If not full frame like 450D, I'll choose 17-55 f/2.8.

i have been using 17-55/2.8 for around a month...it is just excellent!
image remains sharp even at f/2.8...and its really king on APS-C bodies as the range is suitable for landscape and portrait..
u dont have to remove it from the body unless u need tele..

i ahvent tried 24-105 though but its range on 40D should not be wide enough for taking stunning landscape photos...
and at f/4 its less well suited for low-light photography.

24-105 1.6x crop is not wide enough for landscape.
有17mm會好D. (=28mm on APS-C)

光圈2.8與4嗎? 影景都收光圈, f/4都OK. 但影人時想化D,就f/2.8
EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS 據稱有L鏡quality, 有f/2.8,有IS,強! hkd6800.
EF 17-40 f/4 L 平D hkd5300, 得f/4, no IS, 但L鏡

I am using 40D too, I usually bring 17-40 f/4 (我無17-55 f/2.8) and 70-200 f/4 旅行.
