Hey everyone, did you mind telling me what lens you prefer for close up photos (such as, bugs, food, and toy)??? I'm using 40D right now and no company peference (Canon, sigma, etc). Not fish eyes please. Thanks.

I think you should use a marco lens for taking close up photos, so I have some suggestions for your reference.

1. Canon 60mm F2.8 USM marco
2. Canon 50mm F2.5 compact marco
3. Tamron 90mm F2.8 marco

These are good marco lens.

But I think that the focal length is too long since 150 * 1.6 = 240, if no IS, the hand will shake easily.

其實影微距用那一支鏡，好在乎於閣下要影什麼。如果是影產品、玩具之類的死物，焦距長與短相信已不是最重要的考慮因素，因為閣下可以有好多時間同空間「擺位」和嘗試；可是，如果是要影食物、花、蟲等，個人覺得焦距太短會有以下的困難：
一。把蟲嚇跑、嚇飛了。
二。食物的溫度（太熱、太冷）會影響最前端鏡片／濾鏡的清晰度。
三。較為深入花叢、較高較遠（大約一至兩米）的花朵便不能達至「近攝」、「微距」的效果。
所以，我個人認為，閣下應考慮100mm或以上的微距鏡，例如Canon的100mm或Sigma的150mm都是不錯的選擇。
