I will set my cam to M mode

shutter speed between 1/60 -1/125 depends the dist from you to the subject and the speed of the subject.

It is easier to shot if you are parallel to the subject. It will help to keep the whole subject in focus. and dont stop panning your camera even you finish the shot.

you can also take shots without IS mode2. just lower the chance of a good shot ^^
