I am using 450D, if I want to buy Canon EF 100-4-- f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM, will this lens be too advance for my camera? Has anyone use 450D with this lens, if possible, can you tell me the pros and cons? Thank you so much.

佢輕過小白IS少少，放在450D係冇問題，不過重心會去晒支鏡到，習慣左都冇咩野的。 其實老實講，呢類重炮放在咩機都唔多平衡架喇。

樓主有興趣的話絕對不用擔心部機襯唔襯得起呢個問題的。

I have no problem using this Len with 500D body.

Pros,
- lighter weight with your 450D than other Camera body.
- Usable zoom range on many objects (Especially shooting birds)

Cons,
- Uneven balance, I don't see this is a problem, just have to get used to it.
- Not as shape in limited light environment of course.

As for the Balance problem, you can simply focus the weight on your left hand and balance it with your right.

If you are not satisfy with this 450D body, then you can change the body later and keep the Len. Definitely a good investment.

用呢啲大鏡，重心一定會去咗支鏡度，根本用乜嘢機都唔係問題。如果唔係人哋做乜整個tripod ring上支鏡度？

我 400D + 大白 用左大半年都冇問題，人家話有問題純粹係佢地睇唔起你部機.....

之前D c hing 都講左，支炮咁重放在咩機都係吾平衡 !!

very good lens with APS-C .......

portable 640mm (400x1.6) , in FF you have to buy 600mm

I have this lens, the photo quality is very good.. but don't expect to have good image quality in low light.....

Very good image quality in sunny days.....

但都仲可以接受(50d用)
你要考慮多小小嘅可能係對焦速度
單鏡機無須擔心細機大鏡呢d無謂考慮

If u are a beginner, this one does not fit you because of price, weight, size..... I need to learn to use it well for quite some time even with 1Ds. With 1Ds, still have weight unbalance in particular when u use 400mm. The IS of this lens is weaker than the IS of 70-200mm, so prepare to get blur pictures if you handheld all the time.
