Dear all Ching,

Anyone know where to print 18" x 12" photo in Hong Kong ?

As I know, Fotomax is quite expensive for this service, the max size is only 12R ,
for size larger than 12R, it would be much expensive then.....

Thats true so I print 19" x 13" by the canon pro 9500 at home, total cost for each print is about $30, excellent printing quality too.

Very simple, for first using the printer, adjust color, exposure things in the DPP or PS then you can try a small print like 4R to co-relate your monitor color/ brightness to the actual print, after 2nd adjustment you will know how to offset your adjustment in the DPP or PS to get what you want on the print. For example, you have to know you rmonitor is a 自已發光 and photo color is come from 外來光的反射. This is not the scientific method, something like "try an error" but it is still very good and easy for our non professional user. However, a better monitor really help a lot for the color adjustment in the software.

Once you get corelated the mon and the printer then you can select different type of paper for different style and we will know how fun to make a print by yourself then.

When you have used to print out you will also find that some flaws in your photos is more obvious in the print than just looking at your monitor. i.e. the resolution become important now and the nosie is looking way different in a print, etc.

For A4 or smaller print I will use the Epson R290 because I can use 代用默 and other aftermarket photo paper, it is 10 times chaeper than original, total cost for each A4 print is about $1.5-2 only!

Go to 山東街星際廣場 1/F 129 shop, i-best co. Ltd., you can find the cheapest solution here to make best print, the service is also very good. FYI, they help me to repair the printer's injector issue without charging for any service charge. (The printer is not bought from them!)

PS: No way to use 代用默 on the 9500 or 9500 mkII

Thanks so much for your information.... I haven't print any dig photo before except at stores....so I would really like to know more on this topic.
