i see some photographer have black and white photo with 1 other colour (eg. red), how do they make this? 550d have this function? or have to use photoshop + how to make?

This is done by software post processing and not a function of the camera. There are different ways to do this using different tools. The picture itself matters in some cases too. Here are two examples:

- Lightroom: In Develop/Saturation (the one near bottom where you can manipulate each of the 8 colors), move the level of each color all the way to the left. This will turn your picture to grayscale. From there you can adjust saturation to bring the selective color(s) back to the picture. This is an easy way but doesn't work all the time depending on the picture itself.

- Photoshop: duplicate the layer/file so you have 2 layers of the same images on top of each other. Set one of the layer to BW. Use the Background Eraser tool to erase the background color. This is a bit more work but gives you more flexibility.
