因為要為將來升FF舖路, 請問有冇wide lens (FF)??
係唔係多 1 mm會好好多ga? (心儀緊 16-35)

There are quite a few choices, some example:

Fixed focal length:
20 2.8
24 1.4
24 2.8
28 2.8

Zoom:
14-24 2.8
17-35 2.8
16-35 4

Depends on what you usually shoot and your preference, but I personally perfer zoom, since it offers a bit more flexibility. I enjoy using the 17-35 a lot, a very well build pro lens (if you don't mind it being a bit old).

Si-Motion already gave you lots of wide choice.

For the wide lens, I prefer zoom as well. Coz you need that flexibility to zoom. Especially for the ultra-wide we are talking about, sometimes the situation didn't allow you to move backward even for 1 feet, this is where the zoom comes very handy.

the zoom f/2.8 buy you great quality and convenience, but at the same time it comes with a heavy price tag as well.

So it's really comes down to your need and requirement.

如果你現在用緊D90而要揀wide鏡，仲要上FF都啱用，其實祇有兩個選擇：

1. 靚野：Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED
2. 平野：Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 EX DG ASPHERICAL HSM

多1mm的確係差好遠，就以你的龍仔為例，17mm視角是68.37度；Sigma的12mm卻是92.1度，若將來套在FF機上，仲更加係122度添！

Nikon的14mm則分別是90度和114度。

除了這兩支鏡頭，其他的都沒有你那支A16那麼wide了！

You have no other choice if you want ultra-wide wor ....

But the N12-24, there is a build in hood that you can't remove, it will serve some protection as well. Of course you still need to pay extra care on it

聽閒支Tokina 11-16/2.8雖然係DX鏡, 但事實上去到tele端(16mm)用得到落FX機, 不過變形同邊緣角位既sharpness可能都會差d

不過四千幾有支16/2.8俾FX用, DX用時又有11-1.6/2.8, 我覺得好抵玩

Sigma一樣可以加隻hood(原裝附送配件)保護。

不少拍友都誤會，以為這支鏡不能加filter。其實套上hood後可加上82mm的filter嘅，當然，此時用FF機去到廣角端係會有黑角了。除此之外，佢仲可以加鏡後filter添。

希望拍友們不要再人芸亦芸地誤傳訊息了！

I don't quite understand how to put a rear filter for the 14-24... need some ching to explain a bit more.

Regarding the front, you will need a huge hood to fit slotted filter, a bit inconvenient (my personal view only) and the size will become even bigger (it is already a huge lens).

Makgion.... unless you absolutely need the 14mm end, otherwise I don't see the need to go through all those trouble and paying so much $. Just make sure usually how wide you need before buying. My thoughts only....

Do you mean filter can be used on the sigma or nikkor?

Coz I find it's not possible to fit filter on the Nikkor 12-24 f2.8.

圖一未加hood，就如原廠魚眼鏡一樣，有固定不可拆除的遮光罩保護。


圖二已加hood，可套上82mm濾鏡，但在FF機上使用時，廣角端會出現黑角，焦距要稍長黑角才消失。


圖三展示鏡後，可插入不同的濾光片(當然不能用需要旋轉的CPL)。可惜是拍攝角度問題，鏡片需從照片展示的另一端插入。

Nikon 16-35 f4...不如 Nikon 17-35 f2.8, 雖然冇VR, 但光圈大一級. 只貴2K左右.
