I am looking for a tele-zoom in the 200-300 range. I would like to know which one is better in terms of picture quality. If I am only going to buy one for long term use, which one would be a better choice?

對焦速度有冇要求?

有 -> 70-300 VR - 天涯鏡對焦一定慢, 用呢支好過

冇 -> 28-300 VR - 焦段方便

仲有要睇段焦, 唔好期望28-300 VR全段焦都好sharp, 不過焦段真係無得彈 ^_^

所以歸根究底都要睇您常用的段焦.

Yes, I do want to have fast focusing.

Also, I don't really need the wide end to be as wide as 28mm. I consider the 28-300mm mainly because of its larger aperture. 4.5 on the 70-300mm seems to be a bit too small (would it work well in shows and concerts?). The wider range is more a bonus to me. ON the other hand, it seems that the 200-300 range in the 70-300mm isn't that good. How about the 28-300mm in that range? Anyone has any experience? Thanks.

問得200-300, 都估到樓主要對焦速度架la ^^

不如試下Sigma長砲鏡, 好多選擇, 重量1kg以下既就不如用返Nikon 70-300 VR算, 否則都諗得過架

I consider the 28-300mm mainly because of its larger aperture ------> If this is the reason, just forget it. Not much help. ^_^

On the other hand, it seems that the 200-300 range in the 70-300mm isn't that good --------> Don't think that 28-300mm will give you a very sharp image in the range 200-300mm. On the other hand, IMHO, image sharpness in 200-300 range in the 70-300mm VR is acceptable (actually better than others of similar price, in my opinion) in this price range. ^_^

今日買左 Nikon 28-300mm VR 回家，晚上立即攞住同支舊鏡 Nikon 70- 300mm VR 比較，其中一個測試是把兩枝鏡用在同一部 D300S 上及 D300S 放在腳架上，測試兩枝鏡時腳架並沒有移動過位置，所攝的物件是一個五寸高的叮噹公仔，最後測試結果是Nikon 70- 300mm VR 在 200mm 及 300mm 攝影出來的叮噹公仔都比Nikon 28-300mm VR 在200mm 及 300mm 所攝出來的大，估計 Nikon 28-300mm VR 在相片上細少了幾十mm，但在相機數據上都顯示 200mm 及 300mm，想問下各位師兄這枝Nikon 28-300mm 是否壞？

唔好大驚少怪. 每間廠, 每支鏡, 所講個焦距都唔一定會 100% 準確. 唔係 defect, 而係個設計係咁. 唔通佢 design 出來係一支 28-290, 又開個新名, 29-290, 又開個新名咩. 反正如果你唔去比較, 290mm 同 300mm, 你會分得出嗎? 對你影相會有明顯缺陷嗎?

正如汽車一樣, 唔通一部 1756cc/1834cc 的車, 唔可以叫 1.8L/1800cc 車?
