Kijleong....I am not sure how other ching able to suggest you the "right lens" when you didn't say specifically how you want to capture kids/scene....

People usually immediately think fast lens/long focal for people... but not necessarily true in all cases, if you want to tell a "story" then a wide lens is needed to capture the background...just like scenery... is not always true that you need a wide-angle to do the job...

So... Kijleong.....please state very clearly the type of picture/effect you are looking for so that all chings here can help better....

Of course... if you are not sure what you need... a mid-range zoom (e.g. 16-85) will always do the job! =)

I see some photo of this lens with sigma SD15. VERY POISON ^^

It is a good lens for multi-purposes.

If I buy SD-1 in the future, this will be my first lens the SD-1.
