Anyone has this combination? I am thinking of getting the 24-85mm, but not sure it is a good range for my D90. I want a fairly lightweight lens that I could use most of the time, and what I like about this lens is its macro ability as well. Picture quality is also a concern.

I have a 17-55mm, but since it is quite heavy, I didn't take it with me that often.

Please give advice.

Nikon 24 - 85 mm is good for full-frame body only.

When used on DX-body like D90, the focal length range becomes 36 - 127 mm.

36 mm is not wide enough.

我用過, 多數貪支鏡既1:2放大率Marco功能, 但我已賣了, 因為我仍嫌佢大支太粗不夠便携, 兼已入手70-180 Zoom-Micro, 又已有18-55 VR和28-80G標準zoom(兩支一樣又cheap又sharp又Marco)

我幾like用小kit鏡18-55 VR, 平靚正, 1:31放大率, 但不便用CPL filter, 對焦都慢

Marco好既全能鏡, 推Sigma17-70/2.8-4.0MACRO OS HSM, 比17-55/2.8輕2xxg, 同24-85差不多重, 放大率1:2.7
