起碼在機身放大觀看時，P510 比HX300 好得多很多。

of course you cannot compare the image quality to the APSC sensor system camera..............
i used to shoot with a HX100V 30x zoom,
when talking about this type of long zoom DC, it's for people who do not want to pay as much $$$ and carry heavy weight to achieve long distance shooting. it is just between either you get a photo or you don't.
if you go to visit hong kong wetland park you can notice more and more people are bringing long zoom DC as well. before this HX300, there is the Canon one, the first to come out with 50X zoom, it has its flaw also. but it sold out in XXX SHING store.
not everyone want to carry a heavy cannon all day you know.
and for sensor this size, of course you cannot crop photo.....

more and more ppl r bringing long zoom dc to wetland park bcoz they r much affordable only.

the shooting locations in wetland park r too far away from the birds, so a 50X dc with its 1200mm(135 equivalent) is the best choice for the majority.

in other popular bird shooting locations, the use of those long zoom dc r rare.

打雀的話不能DC喎, 反應太慢. DC只係想買黎snap下或行山用.

agree with ching !
price and weight are two very important factors.
not everyone are wiling to carry the 500mm+ lens with the full frame body and stand to walk mountain : )

樓上, 最大問題, 係 HX300影到d野一PATPAT, 比較可惜. 雖然唔想要求佢好高, 不過都唔好咁肉雞先得呀嘛.

打企定定的雀長炮DC沒有問題，打會飛的雀就堅要好裝備加經驗。

到打雀貼文看，多數人還是打企定定的，有些小鳥飛得太快，影到是三分技術加七分運氣。
