Is Tamron A16 lens for Pentax available in HK?
It is not mentioned on Tamron web site.

If it's available, where can I get one-永成,萬成?- and about how much?
on price.com, it's about HKD2800.
Is it the same case for K-mount too?

I have seen that on Price.com though,
the location of the CMK shops are not very convenient for me.
I have been to 永成 and asked the price, and it was $2800.

A friend of mine said the same thing!
I hope this is the right one for me and I will get a good one,
as this lens has a infamous reputation of front-focus by some people.



I am going to buy this lens and K200D tomorrow at 永成,
and this is my very first time to buy camera in HK.
A knowledgeable friend of mine[non hongkongese] is accompanying me,
but is there anything I should keep in mind
like check the products closely or ask about warranty???
Any caution or advice?

I'm afraid my camera is K200D.
K20D was a bit too big and pricy for me.

I can only tell you about the A16 lens,
although I'm not an expert who can talk about camera and lenses as this is my only one...

I am quite satisfied with it.
close= you can get quite close to the object.
zoom=it's about 3 times zoom.[50 divided by 17=2.9]
Both image is quite clear, I guess.
But once again, I cannot make any comparison with other lens.

In Japan, this lens has a infamous reputation of front-focus by some people,
and mine may also be just a little bit so, but it's still OK for me.
I checked two A16s and I took the better one.
The other one was really bad, I think they should not be selling that one.

I think this lens is very good value for money.
I especially like that it can keep F2.8 at any focal length.
Just remember to check the accuracy of focus closely before you buy it.
