Dear All,

Can anyone tell me what makes a good memory card (compact flash, smart media, multi media . . .) other than fast read/write speed? Anything related to resolution? All we can see from the packing is the memory capacity, I really think manufacturers should put on more detailed specs so that we know why some of the cards are so expensive while some are less!

Thanks for your opinion. Yap! SanDisk has a warrenty for 7 years, I believe that it shouldn't be bad at all, I'm using one right now. And I'm also testing one of those after market products, so far so good, but I'm not sure if it last, time will tell.

What's a "controller", do you mean the digital camera itself? Pardon me for some stupid questions to ask, I'm a biginner. Also, can you tell me what brand name are the "easy to die" ones? Thanks!

Easy to die: PQI.
In every DC there is a "controller" to operate cards to store data.
So it really affects the speed of storing rate.

Cards that expensive may because they are reliable,
in terms of speed,stability or life time. (also their brand name)

Like D7, it choose CF cards. Someone suggest that because the operation of the
controller is fast and it needs a faster, more stable CF card.
