why I tried Macro 1:1 Tamron Sp AF90mm F2.8/F
with my *ist Ds only can take picture with about 60mm.

It is I suppose can
橫影一把間尺在最近距離又能成功對焦時剛好影到36mm
If I use Macro 1:1 Tamron Sp AF90mm F2.8/F ??
or I have to use 180mm or others??
digital is different with 135菲林機

Please help me out.. I really need to take picture for Watches
with very close up..

1:2應該只影到18mm呱
唔明你60mm係乜意思,如果咁支鏡放大率仲大過1:1
1:1的意思係實物的長度跟在菲林上的影像一樣長,假如菲林放大至4R,影像也會隨住放大,所以相片的物件是很大的.
數碼由於有影像剪裁的問題,最終相片的物件會比菲林更大.

*ist 有 crop factor﹐已經唔係 135 機。
正因為有 crop factor﹐視角窄o左﹐用同一枝鏡同一個距離去影﹐影像範圍係比較少。

*ist has a crop factor of 1.5, so the Tamron becames 1:1.5 and your result is normal.

You may use Photoshop to edit the photo to fit your needs. Or use DC with smaller CCD, like Canon G6 or even A95, their minimum focus distance is only 5cm, the Tamron is 29cm.

But I still don't understand.
正因為有 crop factor﹐視角窄o左﹐用同一枝鏡同一個距離去影﹐影像範圍係比較少。

So a 135 can take a picture show a rule with 36mm for whole image.
with Macro lens 1:1
Then after "crop factor" 用同一枝鏡同一個距離去影
should only see about 26 to 28mm because 視角窄o左!!!

But I now only can take about 60mm !!
because is fix lens AF 90mm F/2.8 we can not Zoom.
I only to move closer to my object..(closer to object bigger image!!)
However The Tamron minimum focus distance is only 29cm
I can not move too close..

The result is Tamron 1:1 Macro take almost Same images as my kit lens
( my kit lens minimum focus distance is only 25cm and Macro 1:3.9)

Can anyone help me out is there anything I did wrong.

我終於明你講乜,原來即係話把間呎可以睇到幾多.咁又奇怪喎,照計用DSLR應該仲會細過36mm先啱.

I was wrong in the first post, the ratio should be 1.5:1.

29cm 係由ccd(差不多機背)到把尺,你影到60mm係唔係由鏡頭最前端到把尺29cm?

Yes.. 我走到最近 . that's mean 29cm Between my DSLR and my object (尺)
成功對焦 下剛好打橫影到一把間尺 約 60mm !!!
因為 SP AF90mm F2.8/F fix lens.. 冇得 Zoom!!
行前D 又過 minimum focus distance !!
Final result is 60mm!!

Then I use my kits len 18 - 55mm (minimum focus distance 25cm)

我又走到最近 . that's mean 25cm Between my DSLR and my object (尺)
Zoom 到最近 (55mm)
成功對焦 下剛好打橫影到一把間尺 約 68mm !!!
行前D 又過 minimum focus distance !!
Final result is 68mm!!

I am trying to ask Macro 1:1 Tamron Sp AF90mm F2.8/F
can only take images little bigger then my kit's lens (8mm different)??

Macro 1:1 suppose very Powerful ( 90mm is weaker then 180mm. but Macro 1:1 Man !!!)

Maybe you guys can have a try with your own DSLR
and tell me what lens you use can

如果係用 af﹐不如轉用 mf﹐先較.到20cm﹐再前後移動去對焦。

The lens has a Focus Limiter, set to "FULL" not "LIMIT"

After MF Focus .. 馬上影到 28mm to 30mm
正 !!!!!

AF Focus only can take 1: 2
but MF can really take 1: 1

Macro 1:1 正呀 !!!!!!

原來我新買把間尺..花得不得了 !!!!!

DC仔 1cm Macro.. no use..
DSLR is good !!!
