I am selling here a rare Minox GT-E camera, which is one of the later high-end models of the Minox 35 Series. Different from earlier models like the widely available ML and GT, it uses a new MC Minoxar 35mm F2.8 lens. It is multicoated and different from earlier models' Color Minotar 35mm F2.8.
Moreover, the minimum focusing distance is now 70cm, not the 90cm in older models. This makes big difference when taking pictures of flowers.
Finally, a key difference is the batteries used. GT-E uses what 2 CR1/3N batteries. In fact, this is just 4 LR44 batteries, which are widely available. Earlier Minox models use PX27 mercury batteries. They are very hard to replace. Some replacement solutions do not get the right 6V power and so do not provide accurate metering.
Here is one summary of the differences between models: http://forum.xitek.com/thread-451219-1-1-1.html
The GT-E model uses aperture-priority mode of exposure. It is a lot of fun to be able to set your own aperture and distance.
The camera comes with its original leather case. Everything works on the camera, including metering, shutter, and film advancement mechanisms.
It is utterly enjoyable to use this camera because people can set its aperture and focusing. Automatic-everything cameras just don't give so much fun with picture taking.
