I am sorry. I really disappoint the speed of UZ C750. Especially when I shoot racing car even I use locked focus for the object, it is still hard to use "pan" to focus by itself.

And now, I saw some user reviews of Minolta Z1. They said the focus speed is very fast. Plus good Video recording, fast zoom speed, good low light focus. DAMN..............although downgrade of 1 megapixel, I still think fast focus speed is very good for photgraphy.

BTW, Who want my C750 ?

Just a little comment:
DC focus speed is always slow when compare to normal camera. Please note when someone said Z1 is "very fast" maybe very slow for you. C750 focus speed is fair in DC, (u may wish to try D-SLR if u really need it).
I suggest you try other DC in big shops like Boardway before you change your DC.

Actually, I also used SLR which is EOS 30 with eye focus. So I know the speed. I didn't think DC has very poor focus speed even when I tried in DC store. BUT, when I went to shoot the racing car, the real story tell me. The car was actually very close to me, the EVF screen couldn't match the speed the moving object. Too bad, I couldn't exchange it because I brought it from HK but now I am in Canada. So.....I may just keep it for other kinds of shot.

Please go to shoot some fast moving objects, for example, stand beside the high speed road and shoot the moving car. I can tell you, U will miss almost all the cars like "what you said feeling". And the racing car I shoot was even faster. I use all the burst mode to shoot. But all of them was like lost the front end or rear end. Because the EVF couldn't match the speed of the object. However, I got 2 very good of 200 frames. Both of them using normal mode.

As a result, I still like my c750, but its operating speed is just too slow for some kinds of photographic situations. Only DSLR can solve that problem.

Civic1217, I think you don't understand the pros and cons of C750. I know you have one. But if you said all shots depend on photographer. So that means you can be very good on this kind of photography. Please upload some "car racing picture" to prove you can shoot any kind of shot. If not, check my picture in my profile.

People just think their camera could shoot any picture they want. IMO

they say that the focus speed of z-1 is less than 1 sec wor
i dun think this is slow
um....but i dun like it cuz it's shape is strange and only support minolta external flash
and EVF=LCD,thus save no energy
