For long term use, I will prefer Canon EF 70-200mm F2.8 L USM IS, use 24 months installment lar.

75-300 去到 300d 會好難用..., 咁遠的距離, 不是大光圈鏡, 再加上沒有 is, 你都會去到邊都腳架不離才能

You can buy 75-300 IS. I find at Wing Shing with #3XXX. I also own the 75-300 USM. The quality is quite good. If you want one lens only, I recommand Tarmon 28-300 lens..

What is your comment on EOS 300D? Is it your expectation?

I already have the EF-S 18-55mm.

Because I need to shoot my naughty boy, jumping around all the time, I have to get something for long distance.

If the 75-300mm is acceptable, I will go for it.

When I shoot the setting sun or rising moon, I guess 300mm (with tripod) should be good enough.

So far, the 300D is good as expected. As a former S602Z user, it opens a different world for me. The AF, aperture and techniques are really like a camera. I love it.

I found one thing today that excludes the EF55-200 out.

It is not a new lens.
The filter size is only 52mm. To me, a new set of filters is needed.
The price is around $1,700, at least a few hundred more on the 75-300mm and a hew hundred on the filter set. With the smaller aperture value, F4.5, I will go for the 75-300mm.
