I've found that it is a tendency for the new released lenses for DSLR are mostly concentrated on about 17-55. After conversion would become 2X-8X. That mean more focus on landscape than portrait. However, are the producers think that for portrait we can do some work for the DOF by the photoshop very easily so they have such strategy? Am my assumption correct? please advice!

其實我覺得無話lens for portraito既!
等如有人用長焦影人, 有人用wide影人, 淺唔淺影深都係睇場合!
至於landscape, 我o既睇法係而家多o左1xmmo既鏡唔代表focus在landscape, 只不過係大部份dslr有焦距倍率問題, 因為28mmo係slr中根本係標準過標準o既焦距, 而dslr如果連呢點都做不用就有點那個吧!
不過離緊有幾支新鏡係超超廣角12mm/13mm, 用在dslr都可有below20mm焦距, 就真係專為dslr而設, 畢竟咁o既焦距用o係slr實用性唔高! 但價錢就$$$$
