I am a new user of F200 and have some experience to be shared with other F200 users:-

1). Weak Flash Output in indoor photography
One of the very common negative comment about F200 is its weak flash output in indoor photography. Although it is common to most consumer DC with weak flash, F200 can overcome this weakness by manual setting. If F200 is set to Auto mode, the shutter will be set automatically at 1/45 sec, aperture at F2.8 (on the wide angle end) and sensitivity at ISO200 (or other value depends on the lighting condition). Under most situation in the Auto mode, the picture will be under exposed.

Try to set F200 to M-mode, set exposure mode to Manual, set the sensitivity to ISO400 (or ISO200 if the lighting condition allows). Then set the sutter to 1/20 sec and aperture at F2.8. Under most situation the photos taken by the suggested setting should be reasonably good.

I am the F100 user and also find that the flash power is really weak ! I have the suggestion ! At the restaurant, I usually set the white balance as most light are yellow ! Then I turn off the flash, let the DC set the shutter to 1/10 or 1/20, and the photo looks great ! Hope this can help you !
Also I find that the photo for F100 is quite soft ! Not sharp enough ! Like painting ! Did F200 have this problem too ?

f200的手动比较好用的，可以弥补不少弱点
用flash時，可以把iso调到200，但是不要调到400，那样的話相片暗处会比较糟糕，毕竟室内不是处处都在flash范围内
当拍人象的时候，如果距离不是太远，可以把flash comp值调大一点，这样的話出来的人的脸色会比较均匀一些，不会受到外界灯光的影响

I agree with you that the flash power is really weak.
After reading your passage,i `ll try to use manual setting to solve the problem.
In Addition,i think minolta`s color is not sharp as canon,which is more soft,but i think canon`s color is too sharp,sometimes make the color fake.
so i think f200`s color is acceptable to a large extent.
Two more question,anyone have tried to print out f200`s photo?
Is the quanlity acceptable?
And How to upgrade the firmware of camera?thanks.

I think your comment to minolta's colour is not sharp is due to minolta'c colour is actually more natural. I have compared with my brother's IXUS II and minolta's colour is more closed to the original.

I have print out f200's photos both to 4R's and 8R's by Fuji's digital lab, I can say that the quality is as good as printing from properly exposed film. I even frame the 8R's photos to decorate my house. (the 8R's photo is printed from maximum resolution TIFF file around 11 MByte size).

**Be careful when using your DC.**

I have brought a F100 for nearly one year and I found that it is not durable.

There is bug in F100. Overuse it will cause problem.
Though I always take care of my DC, it is out of work.

Here are some advice

- Don't put empty batteries inside. (though the DC gives no respond all the time, it does sometime and will make you trouble that the display will flash, terrible!!)

- The lens is the weak point. Protect it all the time.

- There is a bug in F100 that you can try a "Super marco". If there is so in F200, don't try! Otherwise the focus function will turn down.

Yes. the weak flash problem can be partly rectified using slow shutter. But at such slow shutter, usually there is hand shake problem for a so compact and light weight DC.
Set the ISO to 400 will cause more noise in the photo.

I used it 4-5 times, but have not used it anymore. Is it ok??
