i found that the picture quality of Cannon IXUS 400 is not good enough.
As i developed the picture to 4R with maximum resolution and pixels, it seem adding a soften len effect. However the problem doesn't happen on my friend Pentax DC.

Is it a problem of my camera or i've forgetting something important setting. Thanks for your help

The dpreview samples show that it is a very capable camera. Most likely it was due to the lack of photographic or post-processing skills.
