One more advantage: the EVF is at the brighest when composing, regardless of the ISO sttings you are in.

I was thinking about upgrading my FZ1 to FZ10 mainly because of the lack of A and S settings. Don't have such an urge to upgrade now. Come to think of it, I prefer the light weight and the smaller package of the FZ1ug over its bigger brother. I seldom print over 4R, move around/ hike/travel a lot, and love to learn doing better candid shots. A smaller camera with non-threatening look actually suits my needs better.

I upgraded mine 4 days ago and I am very happy with it. Has anyone compare the picture before and after the upgrade ? I was so eager to upgrade that I forgot to take some standard shots for comparision; and now upgrade I can't compare it.

Nevertheless, I compare some indoor shots with various settings of Program mode, Aperture Priority Mode and Shutter Speed Priority Mode. My initial preference for stationary indooe shots is :

S Mode > Program Mode > Aperture Mode

Any comments/suggestions ?

Today just buy FZ1, as I seem the sample compare of FZ1 VS FZ1up

1, Files size is bigger
2. more Lighting
3. Add more function and control



anymore diff ?

how about the noise reduction?
is it better then not yet upgrade??

Shall it can Downgrade to FZ1 if upgrade has been done?

我想唔係唔可以downgrade,而是冇FZ1的firmware...
除左保養問題(未知),upgrade只有加多功能而冇害處...

noise...冇比較過夜景...唔知喎...不過可能我要求低,ISO50都ok...

Is the photo good for wallpaper size??? In fact, I've never developed a 8R photo.

Good to know it prints well even at 8R. I only tried 4R before and I was very pleased so far. Now there is more to expect from this fun little guy.

If the one you are deciding on is your main or only digicam, FZ10 is not a bad choice at all. Give you more room to crop, and chance to print even bigger than 8R if you so wish. But if I were you, I would definitely ask what I need the camera for most of the time, and would go to the shop and compare the two brothers side by side. Hold them in your hands and see how they shoot and feel, then go with your heart/passion/love-at-first-sight, or whatever that fancy you. Good luck.
