Hi everybody, i have a problem here. i just bought my F828 2 days ago. and when i try to use it to take photos of the same object with my CP5700 and F828 using EXACTLY the same setting (Aperture, shutter speed, ISO, Manual mode, same object and light), i realize that the photo which come out from the F828 is a lot darker!!! at lesat one step down!! and when i use Aperture prior to take photos at the same object using my CP5700 and F828, F828 require a longer shutter speed than CP5700. (i used same ISO and Aperture for both, but F828 needs a longer exposure time than CP5700). I am so disappointed about this. i buy this camera because of the F2.0-2.8 lens so i can take photo in low light situation even without flash, now, the F2 lens seems useless because i will still need a long exposure time because of the damn unsensitive and noisy CCD!!! i rather pay an extra of $1000 to sony and they give us a bigger and better CCD! So, guys, what do u think? F828 is seriously a good camera because of the userinterface, the conrol, but the quality of the CCD is really disapppointing me.............

Was it due to the shooting focus length of two DCs were different??? my wild guess only.

I think that is due to the new 4colour CCD, general CCDs are weak at receiving green light,
And that why most traditional brayer patter, which is a patter of 4 pixel, contains 1 red pixel, 1 blue pixel and 2 green pixel
Yet sony's 4 colour CCD change 1 of the green light into E
And i think that's why the photo is a step darker.
Um.......
and had u reaaly ensure that the distance between the object and the front of the camera are the same and the zoom are the same i.e 35mm.........

well, i used exactly the same focal length to take the pic. both are 35mm.
anyway, i still think it is a good camera. espeically the starting speed, it takes less than 1s.

Don't believe the ISO value of digital camera. According to some test reports, under the same value of ISO, different brand of DC will produces diferent exposure of photo even using the same aperture and shutter setting. For example, Canon G5 and Minolta A1 used 1/200s + F7.1 gave the same exposure of Sony 717 using 1/200s + F5.6. It means that Canon and Minolta's CCD have the higher sensitivity then Sony even under the saime ISO setting.
