i fully support this camera, but there are several aspects to improve.

1/ 3.2mp would be upgraded to 4.0 or higher in 2004, i guess.
2/ the text doesnt mention whethere there is AF illuminator, i think it is necessary for low-light shooting.
3/ on-cam resizing, trimming, monchrome templates, 2-in-1 function should be included.
4/ LCD should be 1.8In.

USM (Ultrasonic motor) 一種速度快而又靜既馬達...
用係自動對焦系統上 對焦時間會快左...
用係變焦系統上 變焦快左?!....

查實 真係唔明點解Canon唔索性用Mechnical zoom control... Mech. control係操控方面點都好控制過Electronic... Minolta同Sony都用啦 唔明canon點解唔用 反而囉用係AF系統上既USM黎放係Zoom系統上 唔知哩d係咪叫"卓頭"呢...

不過總體算不錯.

Although 'S1 IS' have no support any external flash,
but we can use the Syncgronous sensor on external flash to solve this problem ma.....
Also, I think the flash compensation: +/- 2.0 EV in 0.3 EV steps can support some middle distance flash.
For very long distance flash (e.g. 380mm), if u get a high gide no. external flash(e.g. 60GN), also can't fulfull your requirement !
Take it easy.....! The price may be very economical !
