I bought a CP5700 last month, but i found a hot pixal on the EVF in this few days, i phoned Nikon and they said there muct be some hot pixal on EVERY lcd mon, so they don't repair it, unless the hot pixal are more then 5 ..........

Could anyone one tell me how to increase more hot pixal, so that i can send it to Nikon for reapir ..... Thx !

Direct focus to the sun can make damage on CCD.

What a innovative subject !! as sam stated the lcd on evf not the camera ccd? Dun attempted to do that coz they will notice the problem. This may coz void the warranty at illegal used.

As a matter of fact the defected spot would not affect the out come of your picture.

The reason why I said that focusing to the sun as it is difficult to increase the hot ot dead pixel on evf but easy to make damage on CCD.

Jammy i right. Only one hot pixel on evf is not a problem, even one dead pixel on CCD, it also cannot affect the image on 3R and 4R. It is difficult to observe.
