跟一website提供的focus測試方法去測過我部300d.

*用300d+50mm F1.4, 上腳架, 45' 影一把直尺.
auto-focus 係 直尺上15cm 刻處

影了好4-5幅, 清楚的都在 @14cm刻處, 13cm 同 15cm 都blur了..

恕我out_date, 呢o個係o米老問題!?
有冇人拎番去canon 修理過 ? 修理完係o米正常番 !?

I think you should return the camera to Canon.

i doubt if its the key reason for why no prosumer DC "dare" to have bigger aperture, as the focus accuracy is anyway inherently solved by the long DOF due to the smaller sensor and hence much shorter real focal length.

I will rather think its the cost and design problem for developing such a super fast wide angle lens.
