The cheapest 5 megapixels DC is kodak DX4530 ! Only $2380 in Fortress ! But it is just a automatic DC ! But take quite good photos ! IF you want more functions, Casio QV-R51 is a really good choice !

If you compare to QV-R51, QV5700 is more advance series in Casio, better lens and CCD sensor

Compare to olympus camedia c-50zoom, QV5700 use AA battery and CF memory, vs. olympus use non-standard battery and xD memory, this will make you spend $300-400 more if you need to buy spare one.

(consider from cost of ownership and price / performance. )

But if you are only casual user, QV-R51 still good choice.

Olympus C-50zoom is already a old model and I don't recommend this one already ! Depends on your budget, if you want to buy cheap 5 megapiexls DC and you just want a automatic DC, then Casio QV-R51 may be a better choice since the size is way smaller than QV5700 ! About Kodak DX4530, go to Fortress or Broadway then you can see it, or try to search it in this web you can find the photos !
