I am thinking about which one should buy, nikon coolpix 52000 or canon ixus 500. Is it any one using the nikon 5200. Are the picture excellent. How about the flash light?

If I were you, I will postpone to buy cannon. I found Nikon looks more attractive, thinner and lighter. But I just want to know more about the picture quality and the whether the flash is strong enough or not.
In view of the price and outlook, Nikon 5200 seems better than the Canno 500.
I hope the users can give us some comment.

Nikon COOLPIX 5200 is much better than Canon IXUS 500 in image quality, speed in image recording and reading (SD versus CF), unlimited movie duration depending on the memory card capacity, hand and look feel, ED lens quality, strong built-in flash. Both models have an AF Illuminator to assist in focusing on images in low light setting.

Nikon COOLPIX 5200 is cheaper in price than Canon IXUS 500 and has a better return for value!!!

If I am to buy a new digital still camera in class of 5.0 megapixels, I will prefer Nikon COOLPIX 5200 to Canon IXUS 500.

People say the display buttom is not available. Is it clumsy as we want to see the pictures being taken?

Not "clumsy" actually.

Once the display button of Nikon COOLPIX 5200 was pressed, you may start reviewing pictures taken one by one, and it takes much less time in shifting pictures from one to another in comparison with Canon IXUS 500.

I have tried using this digital camera model already, and found the image quality excellent in comparison with that of Canon IXUS 500. Besides, Nikon COOLPIX 5200 is low power consuming but Canon IXUS 500 takes up much power that you cannot operate the camera for a long time!!!

For Canon IXUS 500, I repeat that it can only record up to a few minutes' movie each time, no matter how large the memory card capacity is. Whereas for Nikon COOLPIX 5200, you can record with sound as long as possible depending on the memory card capacity.

Nikon COOLPIX 5200 is much much better than Canon IXUS 500 indeed!!!

I will take Canon IXUS 500, on out look & size win CP5200, on spec & config these two DC so same as, HP HKG hing, you already compare these two DC image qualilty offound big different?

Once the proprietary battery was fully charged up, it could support on average more than a hundred shots continuously with built-in flash and LCD monitor on.

The pictures taken indoors were sharply and accurately focused. The colors were adequately saturated and the color contrasts were adequately produced. With an AF illuminator to assist in focusing on images in low light setting as in indoor environment, it is helpful to take shots through the lens by autofocus. The built-in flash was strong in intensity to shed adequate light for taking pictures. However, you cannot expect too much on this aspect as this is just a point-and-shot digital camera.

On the other hand, the ergonomics of Canon IXUS 500 appears to be less convenient to hold by single hand, when compared to Nikon COOLPIX 5200. You can see that the "harmonious" design of Nikon COOLPIX 5200 well suits human hand such that the camera can be operated by single hand easily. It is lighter in weight and smaller in size.

我幫朋友買了一部５２００，在家中玩了一會，真的不錯。最驚起的是Movie mode好像是用DV機一樣。
