(Since I bought one b4, just can put inside card reader, since larger than normal CF)

Which adaptor you bought? If your adaptor is type one (price around HKD300) then you can use it in most DC which accept CF, if your adaptor is type 2 (price around 150) then you can only use it in DC which accept type 2 CF.
For your reference, I did some test yesterday, and by using card reading to copy a directory of total file size 153M, I found out that the regular CF write time is mush faster compare with the Panasonic 256SD card, Toshiba SD 256M and Kingmax Prieium SD Card (1G) via those type 1 or type 2 adaptor (I got both). So if speed is important, thn go ahead for high speed CF and do not use those adaptor. But If you want to get more flexible in using the card, (only have to buy SD card for all the device) then the type one adaptor worth your investment.

我都買左SD-CF 轉卡,響旺角電腦中心1/F,牌子係eagletex,$120唔係貴,我張Kingmax Prieium SD 1gb 卡用落部10D度完全冇問題,速度係咪慢左就冇乜研究,但都預左會慢D架啦,起碼平時張SD用落部DC仔度加adapter又可用埋落部10D度幾方便喎,同埋第日可能吹勢係SD卡當度...

I have just brought a Eagletech SD-CF adapter and did a test for the comparison of the speed with CF card.
Test details:
Card reader- Common 8 in 1 USB 2.0 card reader
CF card- Kingston 128MB (Hi-speed)
SD card- Transcend 1GB (45X)
Test process- copy a 32.7MB folder containing 17 photos from my PC
The results are as following:
CF card- 17.2 sec.
SD card- 10.3 sec.
SD-CF adapter- 15 sec.
