is it worth to buy the 70-300 DO lens ar?
i read some review said that the pic quality is nearly the same as 70-200 f2.8 is wor!!
any comment?

I am a newcomer and intended to buy 20d.

you talked about the 小小白 which costs about 7,000-HK

what about the Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX, it costs only 5350-HK

and the lens Sigma use is the best quality

Any comments?

i've try remove the lens while the camera is on
turn on the camera while the lens is removed
and close the camera while the lens is removed
and no problem at all wor!

Hello iwkwong,

I haven't got my DSLR yet. I intended to buy the 20d and still looking for comments on the 20d and lens.

Actually, I am interested in the EF-S 17-85 F3.5-5.6 IS USM but what I don't like is that it is not a L lens and the aperture is too small. I like F2.8.

Another choice is the EF 17-40L which the quality is better. However, the range is shorter.

If 一鏡走天涯, it appears that EF-S 17-85 is better. But have to sacrifice the quality.

Actually, I want to buy 20d body + one lens (yet to be decided which lens to buy).

Any suggestions?

don't worry!
all i know is if there is really any problems happen,
then i will put it back to canon CS centre and ask them to fix it for me!
although there may need time
i don't worry on the problems that may happen on 20d!
besides, many people talking about bad focusing of 10D (actually i don't have focusing problem)
but i think it's better for my to take it to the CS centre and let them to tune the focus for me tim! haha
and less become the owner of 20D la!
but i have one thing to worry!

is which tele-zoom lens i should buy!!!!

actually i brought the 17-40 f4 already for a few days only!
i try to talk photo in ocean park underwater world (shooting fish)
but because the fish is swimming and the light is limited, then the perforance is not very good, but is acceptable for F4 lens
i have the problems as you also now!
i also want to buy a tele also but my burget is about 5000 and 70-200 F4 is the best for me now! and the 70-300 DO is second one,,,,,,,,,,, but ofcouse i also want to buy the 70-200 F2.8 is la (but no burget!)!

Tried 20D + 70-200 f/4L and 70-200 f/2.8L
out focus problem very horrible at 70mm.

And they said the lens cannot be tuned. Since if they tuned 70mm side, the 200mm side must be outfocused.... I don't know how to do.
