I used only Gradual Neutral Density Cokin filter to balance the bright upper part and dim lower part. No CPL was used.
One thing that contribute to the rich color is that I set the in camera saturation to high when I took this shot.

although i tried 300D, 10D, D70, i still not own a DSLR
now, i ordered 20D, but i 'm very said that it still no stock!
i like take scene pic, i know that canon just have 17-40 and 16-35, 16-35 very expensive
but, nikon has 12-24, $7200!
what can i do...?

Gradual Neutral Density filter is a piece of plastic with one half transparent and the other half darker. The darker side block bright light coming from the sky to make the whole photo evenly exposed.
Note : Over exposed blue sky would become white.
Cokin is the filter brand name.

Easy. Just set the saturation to high in your DC.
