What do u mean "always take video"??

I usually take snapshot photos every grathering with my friends (around one/twice a week), and everytime will take around 50 photos and at least 2 videos..

it means i usually take 100 photos and 4 videos a week, will it be"always take video"??

Yes,it is always the best to use Sony DC to take video,although IXus 40 can also take infinity video,u will your card will soon filled with the large AVI file. For a person like me, I never use the video recording function of cameras except testing,so it really depends on ur need,if there is really a need to take video regularly,Sony,or u just simply buy Canon, the image quality of them can't really compare. If u want to use compact Sony with gd image, I suggest W1(if u dont mind the appearance.....)

take photo or take video -> use IXUS 40, very good quality.

320x240 30fps for VCD
640x480 30fps for DVD
