Prosumer DC price is very close to low end DSLR.
You may choose any one of it as recommended by other members and beware of the accessories cost.
I would suggest Panasonic FZ-20
The following accessories are required for serious amateur :
山哥adaptor (62mm) + CPL filter + Gradual Neutral Density filter with holder + additional battery + 512 SD card + external flash light + a sturdy tripod + camera bag
These are basic accessories and cost you over HK$2,500 in additional to your DC.
Whatever you choose,

年中時己想買Sony DSC-F828 ,貪它功能齊 !自已又非專業人!
nikon cp8800 & d70 都幾好,亦係心目中次選, 若仍係想買 DSC-F828,值得嗎?向邊買上述機會平呢?

if u still want F828 , it is ok according to the test of 手札
i don't know how much it is
and F828 is the only sony dc i recommand the others to buy
also i think your budget can't cover the range 35~350 with vr (nikon cp8800) if u buy d70
u can buy these dc/dslr in mxn/wxng shing or dcfexer

剛問国美話,
300d連kit要7680,有512mb,有相機袋,有腳架
d70連kit要8980有相機袋,有腳架咁
国美貴嗎?
如果錢不太夠,如果9000元可以加多支sigma70-300mm($1500)
ok嗎?
