買二手28-135 IS USM較化算,又方便,但冇大光圈為一大缺失
如IS冇用,可選Canon 28-70 f2.8L, Tamron 28-75 f2.8 Xr Di macro
至於17-85 IS則因價位不值,情願兩支當一支用

and get a second hand 28-135 around $2500
then same money to buy flash light
how about 16-35 2.8L if money is okay to buy

I have the 17-40mm f4 L and I love it. The quality is fine. It's wide enough for most uses. You seldom need a wider diagonal of view. It's not necessarily better for a wider view even in landscape pics.

For the mid-range, you may consider 50mm f1.4 or 24-70mm f2.8. The 50mm has a super wide aperture while the zoom is convenient but bulky.

All in all, think about for what purposes you get a lens. It's you who use the lenses and not the others.

i think i will sell 18-55 mm II
then get a 17-40L
also i will get the 50mm 1.8
n get a second hand 28-135 for indoor
n keep my 70-200 4l for tele....
do u think this is enough combination...
17-40L for scenery
50mm 1.8 for general purpose.
28-135 for general purpose with zoom feature....n good for people n one len to walk around
70-200 4L for tele ............i think this is my initial plan

I bought the 17-85 for 2 weeks and then sold it away because the problem of dark corners quite serious at especially at wide angle.
I bought the 17-40mm recently and satisfy its quality.
I also plan to buy a more lens for protrait and close up. My favourite is 50/1.4. But don't know whether it is useful as it is very close to 17-40 at 40mm.
