I've asked that Q before.

As I can see, you may choose Minolta Xt if you don't mind it's an oudated model, it costs ~1680 at fortress in Tai Po.

Besides, Olympus's AZ-1 is also possible, it costs ~1980 at fortress in Tai Po.

Both are 3MP compact DC, AZ-1's mon is brillant!

If you don't mind parallel import products (水貨), you can choose between Pentax S5i and Casio Z40.. both are compact but don't expect too much from the photo taken by such a small lens. Both are around 2k

If you can add a little bit more to your budget, have a look at Canon's A520, that's a good camera...... Sony W5 is also good, but it costs more. Not only the body itself, but also the expensive Memory Stick
