I think Nikon lens is better than Canon (More Sharpness),But if you printing picture on Kodar or Fuji Shop. You must choice the Canon, because easy to adjustment color (CMY) and output good printing. If use Nikon Digital Camera you must take RAW FILE and adjustment from NC,PS. After you must convert the file to JEPG FILE (not over 2MB) and Output maximum size 12' X 18' (6 MEGA PIXEL IS O.K.)

Canon is for Amateur and Professional Photgrapher!
Canon is for Wedding Photo !

Have many time use Nikon! (After Adjustment is better than other camera)
Easy operation and output convenience use Canon or Pentax!

I reckon anyone who takes great photos is a professional... BUT there's no fix definition for "what is great" and "what is professional" although we tend to regard anyone using DSLR in a function is a pro XD

I think there won't be too much difference in choosing BRANDS... it's just a kind of taste... but so long as he/ she takes great photos and captures what others cannot anyone can b a pro too

Your 2nd link seems to show that 1Ds2 is at least not inferior to D2x in terms of sharpness. (The red bricks and the roof.) BTW, not much value in debating which is sharper/better, life is too short for these comparisons.

Actually I have no purposes to show which one is better.. However, through the test, the people can justify themselves which brand they like most. Sharpness is only one of the criteria, anyway, happy shooting is most important. So the person give out such topic is a fool.

Nikon and Canon also is good camera! But I want to know how to choice professional D-SLR (D2X or 1D MKII) is more convenient and flexibility in the future. Because I have many nikon lens (AFS). If I change the whole system to Canon. I think I need to pay hundred thousand dollar (HK$100,000.00) more. Therefore, I just want to listen any opinion from this two brand name. NOT EASY TO MAKE THE DECISION!

First of all:
this topic is a piece of s***!

However, I'll answer your question:

We all know that focus shift is a long-proned problem in Canon SLR/D-SLR and lens, even the EOS-1n has this problem at large aperture. If I'm a pro, I will not risk my career like this because out-focus pictures are not acceptible. You can compansate this by taking more pics but it's not possible in some situations (like wedding, you cant call those relatives to line up again and wait for another 5 min just to let you take the photo.)

However, Canon's Full frame D-SLRs are tempting, they can really make good use of wide angle lens. Besides, the NR algorithm is the best in Canon.

This is a dilemma, if you got loads of Nikon lens, go for Nikon. If you have a lot of L lens, go for Canon. It's not the camera that matters, but photographer. A pro is a pro, even you give him just a compact DC, he can take good pics!
