Dear all:

Any one have tried Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 L IS Zoom Len. How about its image and perforence???And its price. Is it one len can "go around the World"???

I get this lens more than half year. The Image quarity is perfect and perfect fit for me just a little bit heavy. Is standard lens on my daily camera bag. If you want to use this len as "one lens go around the world". Your camera must be Film camera or 1Ds.

Versatile but heavy. It is my standard lens (like Master WingLee does). Its third generation "IS" is capable of rendering sharp indoor and night shots when you hand held camera (of course, provided you don't have shaky hands like mine). Its 70mm to 100mm range is good enough for shallow depth of field portraits at the largest possible aperture (bear in mind it departs from f3.5 easily). You have to make compromise with its limited "maximum" aperture. So far, God bless that no dust particles are found inside the lens as everybody once blame its sliding push-pull zoom design. One last point, if you're minded to buy it, you'd better go and buy non-parellel-import one. And once you buy and use it, you will realise you make a smart choice (well, I'm not working for Canon).
