Then you shouldn't wait. DSLR is becoming cheaper and cheaper and no one know when it will stop.

basically, 350D is good enough. But I like the body of 20D which is made in metal.

Reason I ask this question because I heard Canon likes to launch new advance model in about a year at similar price, just like 20D after 10D.

But I am struggling to buy 20D kit at 11300 at Wing Shxxx (a 1500 lower than a month ago) as not sure wheher the price will be lower. (just a typical consumer mind)

如非迫切, 可以一邊蓄錢一邊等, 到時新機一出(如果的話), 便進可攻(夠錢買20d的後繼機, 甚至更高級機種), 退可守(買價格平穩, 甚至價格見底的20d)! happy shoppong & shooting!

Rumours.......

Canon is going to announce a new DSLR with 12Mp in August, aim at customers between 20D and 1-series. With new 12 pt AF, self dust removal (? ultrasonic).

Not sure whether this is the camera for you, or whether the price of 20D will drop after the announcement. (I bet it usually will).

買20D la i suggest that,因為膠殼機真係經不起考驗的~~~

我04年12月先買300D，也有少少後悔，應該買20D~~

Thanks for your info. If it is real, I don't mind to wait until August as having a DSLR is of my dream but not a necessity at this moment.

I think KKYY's get this rumour from www.dpreview.com. This cam is going to announce from 3rd week of August according to the rumour...the price may be around 20k to 30k (HKD)

I read this in dpreview. I have been hanging around in that forum for a few years and this guy who "leak" this info has good track record in leaking accurate Canon info.

BTW, I would still regard this as rumours, don't rely on this as your sole reason of making your purchase. :-)

I found this "rumour" reasonable to me, the D2x has hit Canon right on their head! Difficult to believe they will wait a whole year to respond to this.
