Oh! It looks like a 8mp DSLR features most and performs the best.
Think about it, the DSLR has gone thru one generation from its predessor EOS 300D and the mftr have already debugged previous faults and fine tune the camera to a more mature level.

I would rather use some thing that have well established and thoroughly than something which is new and never really passed an intensive tests from a wide circle of users. Like Pentium CPU vs AMD, which will you choose?

Finally, the crop factor counts a lot with a higher resolution SLR and B/W mode is one of a kind in Canon's 350D. You wont go wrong with either 350D or D50, for higher resolution choose Canon, for easy handling and sharp images, choose D50. It is that simple!

Oh! That is not a surprise as some may have encountered a default lenses and these happen to many manufacturers.

And I m using 350D (kit lenses and Sigma), facts are:-

(1) Very sharp and colorful
(2) extremely fast and precise focus
(3) excellent dynamic range
(4) durable power consumption
(5) high resolution visibly to bare eyes
(6) good DOF with kit lenses
(7) easy handling
(8) lots of user defined controlled functions
(9) no difference image quality as its big brother

I will post some pictures samples as soon as possible for your reference before making any decision.

As the camera has been around since 300D (which is already hit then) and many fine tunes have been done to near perfection.

Others make of DSLR like Pentas, Nikon are not bad either except it has to stand the test through time, may be the next generation of those types of DSLR could be well proven in the market!
