I have the same problem on select the wide angle lens, I'm using D70s. I did look at the Nikon 12-24 but I think it is too expensive. I have no idea which one is better between Sigma 10-20 & Tokina 12-24. Please advise. Thanks.

i m using the tokina 12-24mm F4, because it is the same spec as the nikon len + it has the F4 aperature all time.... it is very useful.... if u ahve limited budget, buy tokina.....

Tokina 12-24 is good. It has an outstanding Cost/Performance value.

Thanks. I know that most of the people using Tokina 12-24... but why didn't choice Sigma 10-20 ? it is 10 rather than 12... is it more wide than Tokina .. I'm not sure so I'm asking. the price is also close.. too I won't choice Nikon.. since it is too expensive...la.. ^.^..

I am looking for a wide lens too. So how to compare Sigma 12-24 f4.5-5.6 and Tokina 12-24? I think Tokina's consistent f4 is nice, but how about picture quality and color? Thanks.

for me, i m using tokina; sigma is only 2mm wider comparing to tokina, which is in D70s = 15- 30 mm (for 135 film) comparing to tokina = 18 - 36 mm, therefore by looking at the widest, it is only 3mm different... i dun think it is that important.... as for wide angle, u will prefer more light to go thru the lens..... so get the tokina as F4 is most important with this zoom range......

But sigma is IF & HSM len, also cheaper. Expecting to see its quality before decision.
