Key messages from several interviews with Canon executives:

No "EOS 3D" in the near future.

Eventually the 1D and 1Ds may be replaced by one "pro" model.

For the near future the three sensor sizes will stay (1x, 1.3x, 1.6x).

There will be more new EF-S lenses, both consumer (low-end) and pro (high-end).

Dust control is being looked at for the next generation of DSLRs.

An upgradable sensor camera is very unlikely.

A digital back for film cameras isn't out of the question.

For the time being Canon are sticking with CMOS sensors.

其實我覺得如果可以出返部可以用EF-S 既FF 機~~ 市場應該唔細
功能就好似D2X 個CROP MODE 咁~ 正死

CANON STRATEGY ===> more and more expensive law.

I have no idea what Canon's future strategy is, I only have comment on her current high price stragey.

As a Canon user, I do feel disappointed from Canon's high price strategy (both the pricing of new products and the maintainence charge).

FF too expensive, I will not consider.

If 20D level machines do not change the sensor to 1.3x, I don't think I have reason to upgarde to 30D, 40D~~~~~.

I am really considering to change to Nikon family if Canon high price strategy is not changed. Anyway I will not buy any new lens from Canon within my 12 months consideration period, my 20D still leave 1 year warranty, hehe. I wish Canon become more caring about her customers.

EF-S lenses benefit from the lighter weight than EF lenses. And, lower cost

discount 去 efs 都要過萬 ~~~~~ lol

而且細光圈無L都5千幾，加埋呢兩樣都起碼9千都1萬。
