I have tested these two DC in the camera show and i found that the noise level of D-lux 2 is much lower than that of LX-1 ( both at ISO 80).

Is there any difference in the processor between these two DC??

No wor, i took the photo of both camera to analyse. And the noise at the dark area of D-lux 2 is much lower than that of LX-1 wor.

有無人試過ISO 200 同 400之下的分別?

我覺得呢樣先係關鍵﹐因我覺得LX1個ISO80 都已經唔錯。

我亦覺得Leica唔會忍受自己的出品會有P記ISO400時未
令人滿意的畫面質素。所以一直都懷疑Leica版會唔會做

I just analyse through computer but not print-out.

I just review the photos 2 mins ago, even at iso 80, the noise of LX1 is very visible ( without any magnification) on someone with black t shirt.

However, i can't find significant noise at dark background of photo of D-Lux 2 ( ISO 80). The difference is very big.

i agree that the low noise performance should be due to firmware.

but why dont' Panasonic do the same thing on LX-1??

Is it worth to spend around $5500 to buy that D-lux-2 ?? ( even the noise is much lower)

我都有你的發現，所以我多用HK$2,300.00賣了Lecia 的D-Lux-2。而且色彩環原和反差都做得更好，影出來的相更立體。

其實我是Leica也不會將所有技術給panasonic，要不然就要關門大吉！

If all the goodies of the Laica is true, i will like to pay more! ..I love the LX1 a lot, but the noise is just so scarely.

真的，這兩部機的noise都比其他的相機的noise多，但ISO 80 和 100時是無問題的，大部份場合都能應付。非必要時也不需要用高ISO。就算是晚上的街景，我用ISO 80 加上光學防手震不用腳架也應付自如。

may be they have the same quality
