我最近聽人講話如果影嘅相喺DC嗰LCD芒度睇有少少曝光，那放入電腦睇就會曝光正常，這是真的嗎﹖為何﹖

當然不是啦！反之應把 DC o既LCD光暗度調低，免出現錯覺。

Most people's computer aren't calibrated so their monitors appear relatively darker. Uncalibrated CRT is a lot darker than LCD so people got the wrong impression. Unless you had your computor calibrated, you never know if the result is accurate.

Unfortunately, the accuracy of colour depends on both the monitor and the video card.

I am not surprise, since $17000 is for a whole computer. Get one eizo LCD @ $15000 for so called accurate color.

因為如果你部電腦用左Ｄ係 2D做得唔好既顯示晶片(特別係nVIDIA)，相片會特別黑，有D輸出仲會好模糊(例如S3)，如果真係執相用，Matrox出品係最好、次選係ATi。

It is related to the digital-to-analog converter on the board rather than the grahpic chipsets.

I think it's the overall quality of the graphics card instead of the chip itself. Diamond used to produced excellent video card with vivid colours and they employed nVidia chips. ATi and Matrox have excellent colour because they were designing and producing the cards with high quality, and more expensive too. Most nVidia cards on the markets are from different manufacturers at lower price point and therefore lower quality. But whichever card you use, don't dream of accurate colour or grey balance if not calibrated (Spyder2 is the cheapest option). Uncalibrated display usually have blocked shadow and highlight, and therefore appears more contrasty and darker.

咩野色先係真色, 原色, 準色, 有人知咩? 影o個時都未必知, 世界上冇絕對準色, 2個人睇2個mon, 2件紅色袗都會唔同感覺

Calibration is based on standard and a way to minimize variables. When two computers are properly calibrated, the same picture should display identically. It's scientific, instead of subjective opinion as you implied.
