今日去曬張16R大相, 個師父話"像素"夠, 但"解像度"唔夠,
曬出來會質素差. (我用5M相機)

"像素" for printing is best with 300 dot per inch.
12" x300 dot = 3,600 pixel
8" x 300 dot = 2,400 pixel
So for a 8" x 12" paper print needs :
3,600 x 2,400 pixel approx. = 8 mega pixel
The 300 dot per inch is the limitation of the capability of human eyes in general. Most people can't tell the difference between 250 and 300 dpi print.


"解像度"
It is the capability of a lens to resolve details of an image. Please refer to the Resolution Chart of various mega pixel cameras in www.dpreview.com

A good lens should have a bigger "像素" sensor to show off the lens's resolving power.

Yes, it is different and confusing.

相 機 資 料 館"內的 "最大解像度" is just有效像素 represented in 2 dimension number of pixel :
eg 8,400,000 pixel approx.= 3,840 x 2,160 pixel (length x height) where it interprets incorrectly as :

有效像素 : 840萬像素
最大解像度： 3840 x 2160


It should be interpreted as :
有效像素 : 840萬像素
最大使用像素 : 3840 x 2160 (length x height)
